Tseax News & Highlights

  • Tseax facilitates communication & conflict resolution training

    Nisga’a Ts’amiks Vancouver Society (NTVS) reached out to Tseax Development Group Ltd. to lead one day of training for senior management staff in the areas of effective communication and conflict resolution.

    Tseax created a lesson plan for the day that gave best practice tips and advice in the areas of effective communication and how to implement the teachings into the conflict resolution setting.

    This day was full of meaningful discussion which led to the final exercise of senior management role playing conflict scenarios, following their own organizational policy.

  • Tseax & Sodexo host Sodexo TOPS training sessions

    Tseax and Sodexo were successful this summer in hosting Sodexo TOPS training sessions in the following locations in Northwest, BC:

    June 11th, 2024 New Aiyansh, BC Gitmidiik Auditorium

    July 11, 2024 Terrace, BC Gitlax̱dax Nisga’a Terrace Society

    September 11, 2024 Prince Rupert, BC Nisga’a Hall

    Each participant committed to attending 1-full day of job readiness training, designed to strengthen on-the-job skills and resumes in preparation for future job postings within the camp services environment.

    TOPS training focused on resume writing, customer service, and other specialized topics below:

    Kitchen (TOPS): Personal hygiene, HACCP/Food Safety, Food allergens, Preparing & cooking, Cleaning & sanitizing, Receiving & storing

    Housekeeping (TOPS): 7 step cleaning process

    Safety: Hazards & incidents, Ergonomics, Slips trips & falls, PPE, WHIMIS

    Tseax & Sodexo are very proud to have been able to tour Northwest, BC to provide training sessions for all those within Indigenous community who are looking to pursue a career in the camp services environment.

    Our collective goal is to help increase the percentage of Indigenous peoples in the workforce and we look forward to all future initiatives to make this happen.

  • Tseax supports 2024 Grad class of Nisga’a Elementary Secondary School

    Congratulations to the grad class of 2024, on achieving your high school diploma with Nisga’a Elementary Secondary School (NESS). Graduating with your diploma is such a meaningful accomplishment that was made possible by your hard work, dedication, and commitment to yourselves on your learning journey.
