Daniel Young-Mercer, Chief Operating Officer

Daniel has a combined 10 years of experience working in Indigenous community as a program coordinator, as well as coordinating health and wellness programming for Indigenous communities across the province. Previous work includes designing and facilitating, train-the-trainer, multi-day workshops, which served the purpose of equipping Indigenous community leaders with tools and resources to minimize barriers to participation and to be self-reliant in leading their own program offerings.


Daniel enjoys leading project management opportunities so he can experience behind-the-scenes strategy and operations, allowing him to gain valuable perspective which can be used to provide feedback to improve frameworks for the future.

Bonita Young-Mercer, Finance Manager

Bonita has 24 + years experience in Office, Human Resource and Finance
Management

Previous leadership roles include:

  • Office Manager, Terrace Nisga’a Urban Local;
  • Director of Operations, CFNR Radio Station;
  • Finance Manager, Wilp Wilxo’oskwhl Nisga’a Institute;
  • Accountant, Skeena Sawmills; &
  • Various contract work in Business Management and Finance

Curtis Young-Mercer, Business Development

A member of the Nisga’a and Gitxsan Nations, Curtis holds a degree in Business Administration from Vancouver Island University, with a dual concentration in management and marketing.

Curtis has 10 years business consulting experience and has enjoyed working on many different projects ranging from Economic Development, Strategic Planning, Program Development/Facilitation, and working with First Nation Communities & Governments throughout BC and Canada.

More recently, Curtis completed a Registered Massage Theraprist Program in Vancouver BC and is actively practicing Massage Therapy in the Pacific Northwest while remaining diligent with Tseax ventures as well.

Arthur Mercer, Founder

With over 25 years of experience in Business Development and Leadership in economic development, Indigenous governance, fiscal financial planning and Indigenous entrepreneurship, Arthur has proven results in human resource management, business development and project management. Clients and partners benefit from my extensive experience in resource development, Infrastructure projects as well as:

  • Aiding local businesses in qualifying in large project procurement process;
  • Indigenous business development; including assisting Nations in reaching international markets; and Indigenous legal structures for business development;
  • Lead and execute complex joint ventures and partnerships, bringing together business development groups within communities and Indigenous organizations.
